Sharing and teaching music gives a meaning to my life.

It is moving to see how learning music can be a life-changing experience for musicians. Music is an art leading to a better self-knowledge which brings discipline, rigour, perseverance, courage, sensitivity, humility, self-esteem, control of emotions, expressiveness, genuineness, creativity, imagination, intuition…

Music teaches us life. It unveils the best in ourselves and its requirement prompts us to grow and transcend our weaknesses.

Stage’s performance exist only in the moment whereas music education lives over times. Nothing is more essential than education. I am convinced that it gives hope for a better world.

Virginie Robilliard is teaching at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne Switzerland since 2015.

Virginie Robilliard was invited several times to give master-classes at the Royal Academy of Music in London, in Asia (Taiwan, Hong-Kong, Guangzhou, Seoul), in Germany, in the United States (Houston, Indianapolis, Washington) and in South America (Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Equator).

In 1997, the AFAA (The French Association for Artistic Action), the French Embassy and the Beracasa Foundation invited her to give Master-Classes in Venezuela (Caracas) several times during 3 years.

Following this exciting experience, Virginie Robilliard, with the support of the Mozarteum Foundation, decided to create a violin school in Caracas, Venezuela, where she lived for 10 years.

Many of her young talented Venezuelan students were later accepted aged 16 and 17 at the CNSM in Paris, at the Hanns Eisler in Berlin, at the Conservatory of Geneva, at the Tibor Varga school and at Bloomington Indiana University in the US.

In July 2012, Virginie Robilliard was invited by Shlomo Mintz to be a jury member at the second international violin competition in Buenos Aires along with Zahkar Bron.

In parallel to her career as a soloist, Virginie Robilliard gives an important place to her teaching activity.
